Scenic Coastal Haven

Explore Bali's Ocean Treasures in Amed

Amed diving is widely regarded as one of the best ways to explore Bali’s underwater world without fighting big tourist crowds. Located on Bali’s picturesque northeast coast—approximately 2 hours drive from the Denpasar/Sanur area and a short distance from Tulamben—Amed is a tranquil fishing village famous for its laid-back charm and volcanic shoreline.

The journey to Amed is a scenic spectacle in itself, winding through authentic Balinese villages, lush green terraced rice fields, and dramatic vistas of Mount Agung volcano framing the ocean horizon.

The Traditional Jukung Boat Experience

Diving in Amed is conveniently accessed aboard traditional wooden outrigger boats called Jukung. The boat ride to most dive spots takes no more than 5 to 10 minutes from the beach. After your first dive, return right onto the beach for your surface interval, enjoy refreshments under palm trees, and head back out for your second dive whenever you're ready!
